چکیده
In this paper, the application of receding horizon control to a two-link direct drive robot arm is demonstrated. Instead of the terminal constraints, a terminal cost on receding horizon control is used to guarantee the stability, because of the computational demand. The key idea of this paper is to apply the receding horizon control with the terminal cost which is derived from the energy function of the robot system. The energy function is given as the control Lyapunov function by considering the inverse optimality. The experimental results are compared with respect to stability, performance by applying the receding horizon control and the inverse optimal control to the robot arm. Copyright c ©2005 IFAC

An Experimental Study of Stabilizing Receding Horizon Control of Visual Feedback System with Planar Manipulators
This paper investigates vision based robot control based on a receding horizon control strategy. The stability of the receding horizon control scheme is guaranteed by using the terminal cost derived from an energy function of the visual feedback system. By applying the proposed control scheme to a two-link direct drive manipulator with a CCD camera, it is shown that the stabilizing receding hor...
متن کاملAdaptive Voltage-based Control of Direct-drive Robots Driven by Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors
Tracking control of the direct-drive robot manipulators in high-speed is a challenging problem. The Coriolis and centrifugal torques become dominant in the high-speed motion control. The dynamical model of the robotic system including the robot manipulator and actuators is highly nonlinear, heavily coupled, uncertain and computationally extensive in non-companion form. In order to overcome thes...
متن کاملVoltage Control Strategy for Direct-drive Robots Driven by Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors
Torque control strategy is a common strategy to control robotic manipulators. However, it becomes complex duo to manipulator dynamics. In addition, position control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) is a complicated control. Therefore, tracking control of robots driven by PMSMs is a challenging problem. This article presents a novel tracking control of electrically driven robots wh...

متن کاملReceding Horizon Based Control of Disturbed Upright Balance with Consideration of Foot Tilting(RESEARCH NOTE)
In some situations, when an external disturbance occurs, humans can rock stably backward and forward by lifting the toe or the heel to keep the upright balance without stepping. Many control schemes have been proposed for standing balance control under external disturbances without stepping. But, in most of them researchers have only considered a flat foot phase. In this paper a framework is pr...
